How to set focus?

I'm using this macro, but it's not working, just uses target not focus
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

all it does it make my target glow....

Are u just setting the focus target? Or do you want to cast on your focus target.

Use /focus to set the focus and u can use /cast [target=focus] spell to cast on the focus target without breaking ur current target. Can also use /cast [mod:shift, target=focus] spell
/cast [nomod, target=target] to use the same bind but with a modifier.... if that answers your question
