If you plan on doing pvp you should be SL / SL for arenas and bgs and you can even play destro or affli in bgs. Your main stat is resilience actually. The more you have the tankier you are. The reason behind getting more resil as a warlock is not having any escapes outside of Death Coil / Curse of Exhaustion which can get instantly dispelled.
Mages on the other hand can pass up on some resil because they have Blink / Nova / Pet Nova / 2 Blocks / cone of cold / Ice Barrier etc.

So overall its better to gem resil on yellows / stamina - SP on reds / Spell Pen on blues.

Its more likely to do better with 11k hp 350 resil and 900 spell power than 9.5k hp 250 resil and 1.1k spell power.
