WotLK Character creation bug

Hello, I seem to be having a problem with my account. Whenever I delete a character and try to create a new one with the same name it says "That name is unavailable."(which should not happen since I am doing this within the same 10 to 20 seconds). I have tried to add that name to my friends list to check if anybody has taken it but it says "Player not found." and have also checked the armory only to find nothing. I've tried to restart my game, delete my Cache and WTF folders, and have re-downloaded the entire WotLK game client, but none of these have worked. I have also tried to create>delete>create a character with the same name on the Burning Crusade client and I did NOT have the same problem there. It should also be noted that this problem is present in all 3 WotLK realms.

it is a common issue, you just need to wait for a server crash/restart and that name will be available agian
