WotLK Does Lava Lash actually benefits from Elemental Fury ?

Saw an old wowhead thread saying it does, but I thought it didn't and now I'm actually confused if it does or not.

I don't have a high level enhance shaman to try it myself yet

It shouldnt, because even tho it does magic damage its considered a weapon strike and gets modified by melee crit instead of spell crit. Doesn't proc ele devastation either
