[TBC] Addons - sometimes they work sometimes they don't

Hello,
I've recelntly installed Mik's Scrolling Battle Text and Omen2 threatmeter.
Sometimes when I enter combat both addons do their magic but at other times neither work. They always go in tandem, either they both work or they don't both work. Anyone else experience anything like that?

I just recently started using Mik's and no issues so far. I don't use Omen2 though.

Both rely on the CombatLog.
Since it was buggy since its introduction with TBC until the Cataclysm expansion, you need to regularly reset it or use an AddOn like Combat Log Fix by Shadowed
