1. The Vials of Eternity

How will be the drops? Just like in 2.0 with 4 per bosses or all the raid will get it?

    from patch note 2.1 :
"The drops for The Vials of Eternity have been modified. Vashj’s and Kael’s Vial Remnants are now multi-drop quest items. This means they’ll be lootable by each raid member who is on the quest, as opposed to the four vials that drop at the moment."

  2. +1

Double Vials drop (8 or even more) or drop for all. If you plan release BT on December then 4 vials drop is a joke. /1,5-2 months to attune -> so its gonna be mid of November and thats for guilds that already have ssc/tk on farm/

  3. Bump! Hopefully they'll do something - but for us, a longer attunement process would be better for the competition for T6 content.

    Pls respond mr. warmane

  4. It will work as it did prior to patch 2.1.0 meaning that 4 vials will drop per kill. On the release of Black Temple, it will be switched to multi-drop and it will then drop for everyone.

We are keen on having it this way so people can progress and build their path towards Mount Hyjal. The content is done, it was tested privately by multiple guilds which were recruited through public announcement on a first come - first served basis as seen here and our QA team.

This has to be an actual joke

How is this anything like retail then? BT opened 4 months after TBC launched, which is also when people first went into Hyjal with Kael Thas (previously unkillable) killed after patch 2.1. You're "releasing" hyjal over 4 months after the server launches where KT has already been killed multiple times, and now you're going to make guilds spend 2 months or more trying to attune their players as if it was still patch 2.0.

Almost nobody is going to actually be able to do a damn thing in Hyjal for months, why waste peoples time with this. If you're going to open Hyjal then make it patch 2.1 quest and let guilds do the raid. Because all you've actually done here is announce that the raid is now open, but nobody can enter because you didn't put the damn quest in the game.

In b4 top guilds start split running TK/SSC for attunements while the others slowly die until you add the 2.1 version of the quest. If you wanted to do the pre 2.0 quest then you should have put the quest in the game, as it was on retail.

The race is on. Good luck :----------------)

  9. The quest for Hyjal attunement should have indeed been out way earlier.

Hey man! see it from the bright side, gives the dev team more time to code the fights zulululul

  10. Feedback is always appreciated and taken into account, especially with things like this. From our perspective, this would be the most appropriate way to release new content and prevent content starvation and at the same not have a huge effect on PvP and other areas of the game.

It's hard to look at what was done back in the day due to the fact that every circumstance was different. Especially with the skill factor taken into account and with all the guides everyone has on their disposal today.

Of course, nothing is set in stone, this is not an official announcement on it and feedback is very much welcome.
