WotLK Water ele always in combat

The only issue I had found in the search is water elemental always being in aggressive stance. This can be fixed by placing /petdefensive in a macro.

However, I am having another issue... that my water elemental is ALWAYS in combat as long as it is active. Is anyone else having this problem? Is their some way to fix this? I have tried relogging, but this did not fix the issue.

This might be related, but along with the "follow" button being highlighted, the "attack" button is also highlighted on the pet bar. I am able to toggle follow by clicking, but not the attack button.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Got the same thing. But it seems like it is mainly if you got macros with [nocombat] mod.

So like i have a macro that uses healthpot if I am in combat and food/water when not in combat.

I have been using the eternal water element glyph and I've used so many pots because of the bug lol

You can still drink eat if you just use the food/drink from your bag.
