Are my professions useful for gold farming?

Admittedly, my means of getting gold was to buy gold via coins in the Warmane trade section. Now I'd rather get back to farming gold myself.

I'm a Retribution Paladin and my current professions are Blacksmithing and Mining. Those are leveled to max, but does anyone know if either of those professions are useful for farming gold on a regular basis?

best profesion for farming is mining + herbalism + transmutation mastery + jewelcrafting. You just farm some ores, than you make green quality gems with prospecting. Than you make icy prism each day - you will get blue quality gems. Than use alchemy to tronsform those into epic quality gems. At last cut those epic gems into sockets.

Blaksmithing is adding just a little value to reagents needed. From my guide you will make epic quality sockets (240g) from bunch of cheap saronites

As far as I know investment banking is a decent profession if you want to get more gold. I would also consider rapping.
