WotLK Which item for points

So basically I just started leveling with my friends and I was just wondering which item should I get from the points store first when I hit 80?Also I'm going to mainly do PvE.

rule of the thumb : use web store to obtain items which is rather difficult to obtain in game

tips :
- good weapon on main hand contributes most gear score
- ring 1 : can be obtained from ICC reput
- ring 2 : wait till Halloween event for free epic ilvl 200 ring



I took liberty building easy obtainable for my own rogue
ok for starter if you're going towards arpen build
- weapon : Nighttime http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50191 can be farmed @ 1st boss FoS HC --> easy
- trinket 1 : Banner of Victory http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=47214 can be farmed @ ToC5 N --> easy
- trinket 2 : welp you just missed out Direbrew event LOL
- bracer : Chewed Leather Wristguards http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50264 can be farmed ICK poison boss PoS HC --> easy
- shoes : Blighted Leather Footpads http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50308 can be farmed @ last boss HoR HC --> difficult
- cloak : welp another missed out event, try crafted one or wrathfull from PvP
- ring 1 : reput ICC
- ring 2 : wait for Haloween event or buy from Auction House
- armor chest : Choking Hauberk http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50300 can be farmed @ HoR HC --> med difficult
- armor legs : Fleshwerk Leggings http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50269 can be farmed @ last boss PoS HC --> difficult
- belt : -
- throw/bow : Papa's Brand New Knife http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50169 / Felglacier Bolter http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50262
- neck : Barbed Ymirheim Choker http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50228

- if you're gearing set item, less prioritize glove and legs because they can be easily replaced by glove and legs loot from VoA ( :D depends on your luck)

For trinket 2, you can get needle encrusted scorpion from devourer of souls in FOS HC but competition is rather high. So you can consider to buy it with points if you're out of luck. When you want to buy gears from stores, generally its weapons>trinkets>armors.

Sharpened Twilight Scale and Havoc's Call are your best bets for both GS and DPS boost. You won't replace any of the two any time soon.

Regarding the ring advice, you can get either the Dalaran 251ilvl ring for approx 10k gold or the 245ilvl EoT ring which is better itemized than the Dalaran ring. The wrist advice is correct - these are the easiest and best bracers you can get for Combat as starters, only replaced by DBS25. Your best off-hand is from Gunship25. As for belts, your near-BiS is the 264ilvl EoF belt, only replaced by PP25. Same goes for gloves. You can get the 264ilvl ICC trash drop neck, which is basically a much stronger version of Barbed Ymirheim Choker. You will only replace it at Sindra25. Boots are as easy as killing Marrowgar25 - the first boss in ICC. Legs - choose between LW crafted legs (which will force you to go for DBS25 chest for expertise) or the T10 legs (VoA). Chest - shoot for either the T9 (EoT) or the T10 piece (EoF/vote), unless you're going for LW crafted legs, as mentioned previously. Both the 245ilvl EoT helm and shoulders are good for Combat and will be replaced either in ICC10Hc or by T10. Your 2nd BiS cloak is the EoF one. First BiS is more or less unobtainable.

The above is a more advanced gear guide than ArchShyman's, of course, but I made it so you can decide how to spend your points, which was your question, after all.

And by the way, Mjolnir Runestone is better than NES. NES only procs from crits. Still, it is obtainable in-game, unlike the Runestone.

Rogues have been able to equip fist weapons ever since this game was created. They were only allowed to equip axes with WotLK, mainly due to the introduction of Death Knights demanding more one-handed weapons to be added in the game and the viking theme of the expansion.
