1. Alliance Chess Event

I'm probably going to get blasted for posting about this of all things, given it's the most infamously simple encounter in the history of WoW (maybe gunship, idk) but..

Am I missing something here? This seems unimaginably overtuned. Feels like you need a lot of RNG luck to clear it due to the overwhelming damage and health values from the NPC side.

Literally every video on YouTube and on here showing the encounter on Outland or Icecrown is from a Horde player. Is it really that much easier for Horde to clear this?

Is there some kind of secret strategy people are using that I'm totally overlooking?

FWIW: I can and have cleared this. The only way I've seen that works is to stack AoE on the king and spam heroism. Works maybe 10-15% of the time if RNG is on your side.

  2. There is no difference between Horde and Alliance Chess Event on Warmane.

  3. Yes, it's much harder than retail. Yes, you need to use the pieces effectively and coordinate on this server. And yes, you can get RNG'd on this server by Medivh's cheating. It's the same thing for horde.
