Burning Crusade How would it be playing resto druid ( restokin) and shockadin in arena?

Hi me and a friend want to play together in pvp ( he is shockadin) and i am a mage. I don't like mage that much because when you get hit it feels like paper and i die too fast... i want to reroll a druid but it is only viable resto in arena...i like resto or balance druid too much but my friend plays shockadin so i don't know if it would be viable in arena playing shockadin and restokin... can you give me an help? Thanks
