Heard good things about this realm was wondering which faction is more populated for pve

It's a lower rate than icecrown and a little more hard-core, but usually horde has a higher pve amount, and alliance pvp. Though not always true. Best thing you can do is look for a guild that has raids during your time on either faction and play what you like.
