1. Enhancement Shaman PVE - Hit rating stacking priority - melee hit cap

    Greetings Warmane Community,

I would like to clarify once and for all, what statement is true, about PVE stats priority as enh shaman.
I have recently argued with my guild "specialists" about melee hit cap, for ENH shaman (only for that class).

What I've told them before I've got laughed in my face, was something like:

Enhantment shaman with resto sub-spec, has 9% of hit cap bonus from talents, granting him all special attacks already hit capped.
Melee hit rating required to cap all white swings differs for dual wielding or 2hand, capping at around 300 hit , for dual wielding enhantment shaman PVE.
Due to mechanics different from ex. combat sword rogue (where hit cap is core, due to ex. sword spec and poisons) ENH shaman shouldn't FOCUS on reaching white swings hit cap as top priority, as he would have to sacrifice A LOT of other statistics, that is 1) hard to achieve, 2) would most lilkely result in overall DPS drop.

That is why in MY opinion, ENH shaman should'nt stack hit cap as top priority stat. My rule would be getting as much as you can from raw item statistics, as long as You do not sacrifice AP and CRIT too much (finding balance). For example gemming and enchanting for hit rating, should in my opinion be avoided.

After saying moreless that, i got mostly flamed, so I've got a little bit confuesd, following the rule that when 100 ppl tell the same bull****, 101 would probably consider as true.

I would like some experienced players, to confirm or deny my opinion, with some explaination instead of ("no because no you noob"), so I would finally know how to play my enh shammy.

    Thank You.

TBC EJ forum is on your side: "There is no magic value of +Hit that an Enhance Shaman needs We need as much of every stat as we can get, but hit rating is just less important than the others. That does not mean that the goal is to have low hit rating either though. Rogues and Warriors require large amounts of +Hit to be effective because of their energy/rage feedback system and because they do not have talents that can hit cap their specials before considering hit on gear. Enhance shaman have no such feedback system and are able to hit cap specials through talents - therefore, hit rating above and beyond your talents is great to have, but is not a necessity."
