Can people without WoD models play with people that have WoD models?

Title says it all, but I'll copy pasta. -"Can people without WoD models play with people that have WoD models?" Sorry if this is answered somewhere else; didn't see it. Asking because a friend plays on a potato and has issues running the game with the new models. If possible it'd be cool if I could have the new models while he uses the old ones but we play together. If not possible I'll compromise for ****ty antique granny models nbd. :)
