WotLK Take Down Tethyr?

I was going through Dustwallow Marsh doing a lot of quests and all that, until I got to Take Down Tethyr!. I accepted the quest, a bit nervous of what would come. The mortars begin to sparkle. And then... nothing. I've waited over 15 minutes in front of the mortars waiting for either the apparent helpers or Tethyr to show up, but nothing other than the mortars sparkling happens. The rewards are great so I'd really like to know if I'm doing something wrong. Playing on WotLK, on Lordaeron.

It's an old thread but still an issue. I wanted to do the quest some minutes ago and had the same problem. So, not fixed yet I guess?
Bugtracker lists it @ https://www.warmane.com/bugtracker/report/52068# - but it there seems to be no progress. Recent reports were just marked as Duplicate.
