Character list issue

First off thank you for your time on this matter.

I recently deleted a character. When i went back to re-create, "name was unavailable". I was wondering if you could offer any advice on this issue. I hope in the few minutes I was recreating someone else grabbed up my name isn't the problem. :( I did the little loading trick about got to create/ back to reload list. For a period of time (about few minutes) the realm list showed i had a character on the server (when i visibly had no characters on character list) - that later disappeared. Name still unavailable.

Wotlk realm? you need to wait a server restart/Crash to make than name useable again

I'm having an issue with this as well, in the site it doesn't show my characters. In game it shows that I have 9 characters on a server but I went and just deleted all of them because of that name glitch Lyk had. Just curious if I need admin help, or if this is something just takes time for the count to be updated on the server.
