so whats with the human Draenor *player* model faces so ugly .. but npcs ok?

so i installed the draenor wotlk package, and all the models look good .. except the humans. their faces are hideous.. like seriously nightmare inducing.

Yet in game the NPC faces are just fine .. while my face looks like i did meth and sold 5$ blowjobs .. is it a skeletal / skin thing ?
