Item gifting from Store

Hai,
I wanted to propose an idea -
Players able to gift items from store to specific chars. Same as it is with coin gifting. So it's possible to select option when browsing store, example, "gift this Shadowmourne to Someone for 158 coins(5% tax)." And that player get's it in mail on char that giver specified.

Wouldn't that be great?

What downsides could this have? How could someone exploit it?

if suggestion is legit, then it would be great opportunity. even gifting nonpremium accounts with tax fee should be enough to cover all servers transaction, so both sides are satisfied.
