New level 56 player with Battlegrounds PVP question.

How are the battlegrounds at max level 80? Do people fill up and play Atlerac Valley and others? I was able to get into a few Arathi Basin so far at my level but its very rare, a few more times in Warsong Gulch. The reason I am asking I am an old WOW player that quit in 2011 and loved Alterac Valley BG so was just wondering if people played more at level 80.

Yes, battlegrounds are infinitely more active at 80. 40v40 battlegrounds like Alterac Valley and Isle of Conquest are as common as any other battleground, if not more so.
