It's UP TO 40%, meaning it gets to 40% at the maximum amount donation, which is 300 EUR. The bonus coins percentage is lower at a 50 euro donation and was included in the amount shown when you donated.

if you read it correctly it says: "UP TO 40% COINS!" .. its not 40% for everything ;)
