WotLK best weapon to donate for a War Tank?

I'm currently leveling a tank on icecrown and was wondering what the best weapon to donate for a Prot warrior. i have 24 coins atm, also wondering if on this server wars are good for end game tanking

I would guess that the best weapon for a warrior tank would be Mithrios, Bronzebeard's Legacy: http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50738
It is a ilvl 284 1 hand Mace with tanking stats and it is obtained from The Lich King on ICC 25man Heroic. It costs 23 coins on the store.

Warriors have a lot of great abilities, but I've sadly not tried to tank any higher than a few Random Heroics on a warrior, so I cannot really tell how great they are for end game tanking, as I've actually not met any warrior tank higher than this. There might be a reason for this, there might not be. But if you wanna play a certain class and a certain spec, you should go for it! You can always succeed, if you just have the skills and the gear that is required to do the job!

Thank you, i appreciate your quick reply. maybe i'll hold off on donating for a weapon and just see how it goes once i get to 80.

It's probably not a good choice to buy a weapon if you only have coins for one item, tho. Get used to the class and save the coins till you reach at least T9 gear levels.

1. I think gearing up high-end warrior tank is kinda use-less ; people will always choose tank (pally / DK / druid) --- that's the majority ; so...may be you should re-think building as warrior dps instead ?

2. as for tanking, I think you can choose either of these ?
- standard tanking : Mithrios http://wotlk.cavernoftime.com/item=50738

I agree with Bensten.
Donating a weapon for warrior tank is prety much useless.
U can get a good starting weapon from Batered Hilt, or from Deathbringer Saurfang, Bloodvenom Blade.
Shield from Bloodqueen is better than a weapon from my point of view...

As people said, gearing a warrior tank is a bad idea.
DK, Feral and Paladin are far better and more wanted than a Warrior so u can end up beeing disapointed.

Play it like that, start getting into the class and playstyle, once u get to toc and/or icc raiding, and u still want to play it, use those coins for a shield or a trinket if u ask me.
