it is well known that vote point system needs to be fixed.

vote point is the remains of past years where you had to vote so the server would figure on a ranking, and in exchange you could get some gear with the points they gave you. the ranking is gone, but the points remain, so its basically a free point system.

tho the starter gear you can get with points is great, the veteran players find themselves stacking on these points endlessly, which marks that there are still some things that could see improvement:

1st: make low level epic "low ilvl" gear (maybe t4 and/or t5 for 70s and tier 1 for 60s?) be available for the point shop as well (if lvl 80s can have some starter gear, why not twinks?)
2nd: make low level uncommon and rare quality items also be available for purchase, since it they are worth for transmog.
3rd: bring back the lotery.

lotery can be a great way to spend vote points for, lets say, mounts, companions and some other cool stuff.

the vote points system is obsolete, yet it does not mean it can be great! i most sincerely hope the staff does something with it.

No, the point system isn't obsolete. The fact you don't have an use for points at most means you have no reason to gather them, you're already past the point where you need them, they already served their purpose with your current characters, which is perfectly fine. As you say, they are nothing but free points we give out now, and are meant to have limited uses.

Actually, the lottery idea seems very good to me, maybe I am the only one tho. It would be very nice to, for example, create some weekly or even monthly lottery where players can buy tickets with points in exchange for a chance to win a prize (mount, pet, or even discount code in shop etc.) and the more tickets you bought the bigger chance would be.

If we were to do lotteries, it would make much more sense to do them with gold, like in the past, as that has a direct effect in-game, while points are just freebies.

Best is to introduce children to gaming while they are young. Lottery is a good call, maybe include some options with coins, not just gold.
Just have to make some mechanism to avoid angry moms rolling back payments from their bank accounts.

I already see great quality and atmosphere in Warmane community.

I think we need to remember that points weren't always as easy to get as they are now. Voting was sometimes a pain in the *** that involved solving several captcha's on third party websites to obtain. Warmane stopped caring about being on those lists or was maybe taken off of them at some point, I don't exactly know what happened, but they just left in the points system to be nice. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, don't complain about the points system.

It's invaluable for services such as name/race/faction changes and it allows people to be flexible with their characters in those ways. Yeah the gear is trash garbage and I honestly wish they'd bring back twink gear to the vote shop just to breathe life into that community again, but it was an absolute disaster that they allowed ilvl 270+ obtainable this way for so long and I'd rather see it removed altogether than go back to that.

I like how you ignored what he said about the voteshop.The place where he said to add " low level epic "low ilvl" gear (maybe t4 and/or t5 for 70s and tier 1 for 60s?)".I dont understand why the staff at firstly removed them,and also secondly why you guys dont want to bring the low level items on the voteshop again.I mean,level 80s can get all the items ingame without donating or voting and can become bis,while,for example twinks,cant get BiS,simply because you removed the vendors with brutal gear,and also removed ranked arenas at low levels(dunno why u did that aswell and what was the benefit). So im just gonna support Mr. bakkhos16 and say to return low level items back to the voteshop.Its not something that handful of people wants it,its half of the server,either for twinking or xmoging.Please do something about it and stop ignoring it everytime.

From what I've seen the items on the vote shop are aimed towards fresh 80s, which is great but at the same time if you're completely new on the server it might take you weeks before you can even buy yourself anything, and by that time you might already be geared enough to skip it.. As for the people who are very geared and not trying to gear up alts I guess there isn't really anything for them, I'm sure they'd like to encourage the server but if the rewards are useless for them then what's the point..?

I agree that new things should be added to the vote shop, maybe some rare pets and mounts that are normally only obtainable via donation which would cost a lot of vote points, that way veterans who have been voting for a long time could actually get something in exchange instead of piling up vote points for no reason.. Lower level gear for transmog is also a good idea

I don't think Warmane wants that Tmog gear is available for points.
The idea behind the Tmog system is that ppl farm the old school dungeon/raids to accquire that gear ingame or to donate for these items. After all the tmog system was also implemented to raise the donations.

Imo we should be thankful that its still possible to use the points for race change and other services because Warmane could also just remove the point system once and for all since we don't vote or contribute to the server in any other way by collecting these points.
