"You must wait xx seconds before speaking again" - Carbonite (?) problem

I keep getting this error message on screen even though I'm not speaking to anyone, It randomly happens when moving/flying around doing quests. It then effectively prevents me from speaking/whispering. Upon testing it seems it only happens with Carbonite loaded. Is there perhaps some non-obvious option that does that from within the addon in an invisible way? So that I could turn that off? I'd rather not dump Carbonite alltogether.
Just to add, I'm using 3.34 version of Carbonite.

Thank you, that did the trick :)
Edit. It appears that unchecking "Disable global channel" is enough for it to work, without disabling Zone channel so that you can remain notified of other players.
