Advices for a newbie

Hello guys, i recently decided to start playing WoTLK once again and i stopped by Warmane(Icecrown realm). Im looking for PvE mostly,have the good old fun of raiding with pleasant buddies. I would probably donate to gear up a bit faster which leads me to my first question,can i do that? Can i buy ingame loot with real money? I saw that there was a big queque to enter,does donator skip the que? Are there big raiding guilds?And 12000 people online really?

you can indeed spend money to get coins and use those coins to purchase in game items. after you donate once you skip the que forever. (with the exception of lord, which never has a que anymore so doesn't really matter). for raiding guilds check out icecrowns recruitment section http://forum.warmane.com/forumdisplay.php?f=270 . 12000 is what the website says is online. some people believe it, some don't. regardless of if you do or don't, there are always plenty of people on to play with.
