Collidus the Warp-Watcher

I found a guide in the forum about rare spawns and I have a question about Collidus the Warp-Watcher. Is it true this rare mob doesn't spawn at the specific places marked by the addon NPCScan Overlay? This is the last rare I need for my Bloody Rare achievement and I would appreciate your feedback.
***Quote from the guide I found: Collidus The Warp Watcher - IMPORTANT: He does not spawn in the NPC Scan area at all. On the Shadowmoon map he spawns in one place between the two crystals in the Netherwing fields. As a result low level players kill him all the time.
