Burning Crusade Dreadsteed

Hi all! Im currently on my quest for the Dreadsteed epic mount. But now im wondering if completing the quest and getting the summonable epic mount enables me to train the riding skill for flying? Do i have to get the skill for epic ground mount to be able to train flying?

Please help!

Completing the Dreadsteed quest will up your riding skill to 150 without having to train it. So you could train 60% flying right after completing the Dreadsteed quest.
