I'm trying to edit something with notepad and when i try to save it i get an error " You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the documents folder instead? "

The only two people who use this PC is me and my wife, we both have our separate accounts and are administrator's. I looked on the so famous google as every noob does and everything that i could scrounge up doe's not work. I have windows 10 pro if that helps too.

Need a bit more information. Where are you trying to save it? Are you modifying any system file?

Go to properties>security>select current user>check modify all settings check.
