i heard that the priest that cast it gets a buff and that it can be dispelled, is this true?
in 2v2 whats the strategy vs this strong ability in general?

Yes, the priest gets a Mind Control buff that can be removed with offensive dispels.
Use one of your 10 interrupts and continue tunneling the priest.
