1. Affli warlock? No matter bg or arena, you only have to fear and dotting everyone, sometimes you can cast haunt+instant shadow and its done. Easiest class to play with a dk/war.

Mutilate Rogue? Are you serious? This spec is a child's game campared to sublety, pleose go watch some Kamiky's videos before you guys missconcept specs.

I only agree with the moonkin, this is hard to play as support, mostly in 3v. The problem of this spec is that he have good burst and cc cds but no survival, is good support but when they fous on you being moonkin is pretty hard to do damage.

  2. Well, this heavily depends on what you mean by harderst class?

Hardest class to play with? Hardest class overall, highest skill cap or highest skill floor? Or whats the hardest class to do well with?

Take your own example, frost mage and ret paladin. As a ret as long as you can press freedom, bubble and 1-5 for damage you will do fairly well if you are geared (to a certain point of course). As a frost mage you will die horribly vs everything and do badly in arenas, duels and bgs if you dont play your class somewhat well. Same with sub rogue vs for example warriors, one can faceroll and do well, other will flop vs everything if played poorly.

Thats skill floor, ret is easy to pick up, as is ele, warrior, DK and so on. Those are the classes with a low skill floor, while classes like sub rogue or frost mage have a higher skill floor.

But on the other side of the coin we have the skill cap, and how easy it is to do well with a class. Ret for example is a harder class to play then frost mage to do well in arenas (well, it was on retail where 3s were a thing, at equal ranks above 2k you could usually say the ret was a better player then the frost mage (untill you got to the super high end stuff)). Ele might be the easiest caster to pick up, but the skill cap of grounding totem is nearly endless, meaning at perfect play ele shaman probably is amongst the hardest class. Take a shaman who grounds every silence, Hoj and deep in a game, vs one that doesnt.

Its the same with every class, a class that is easy to pick up isnt always super easy to master. And the other way around, a class that is hard to pick up doesnt have to be hard to play at skillcap.

There are other factors at play too, like how much coordination is required. (Sub) rogues for example require a lot of coordination and setting up kills, swapping correctly that other classes dont have to bother with. On icecrown especially very few people know how to properly play with a rogue, making this already difficult class even harder.

So imo, the question isnt answerable. Theres no hardest class. A skillcapped war isnt easier then a skillcapped sub rogue, although its much easier to get good with warriors. Rets may be faceroll damage wise but its one fo the hardest classes overall with all of their toolkit.

But probably a priest or a shaman or a ret.

  3. Personal opinion only, but I've always found warlocks to be that class. Fear breaks on everything and my kills tend to be dots ticking well after I'm already dead. Always lamented how warlocks were wows redheaded step child class and how DKs were everything the class should have been.

  4. Classes with pets imo, all the micromanaging and actually using your pet to full potential can sometimes be a headache.

    You should try it out.

All needed pet functions are usually macroed on a total 3/4 keybinds or less, and they are quite often macroed together with your own spells. For example: having an universal macro for Scourge Strike so that pet Leaps/Gnaw’s if you press shift with it OR does the same thing to your focus Target if you hold control or pet summon/transform on one keybind except on two separate - if you’re DK.

It’s easier than to remeber all totem keybinds LOL
