Class and Faction Server-specific Questions

Hello Lordaeron community,

just about to start playing with a couple of friends, but we've yet to make our characters. Could someone please address a couple of questions I have?

1. Which of the two factions is more heavily populated or is it pretty much an even split?

2. Which classes are most needed on the server? Eventually we'd like to do endgame and would prefer to play characters often need to fill the gaps in PuG or guild-based raids.

1. Pretty much even split
2. Cant go wrong with : Demo lock/ hpala/rshammy/hunter.

Had same idea and brought 3 friends with me. Went alliance and found that horde are real jerks when it comes to world pvp so u gotta deal with the occasional gank from an 80 as well as pretty much every horde lvl'r attacking u whether they can win or not. Lvling up tanks are in demand until 60 then DKs come in and healers take over it seems (for alliance at least).

How did you go? Coz i'm pretty much the last man standing out of the 3 other ppl I joined with. Seems a lot of ppl can't handle lordaeron.
