    Haste stacking as hpala [PvP]

What do u think about haste stacking as hpala in PvP?
Mainly for 5s arena because I assume that for a hpala this is the most viable bracket.

I was thinking about getting items such as http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=37740 or http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=35324.
Considering that we have to hardcast holy light to do some serious healing it looks appealing to stack haste to reduce its long cast time.

You won't be able to get enough haste to make a difference when casting Holy Light.

    U actually do.
http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=37740 alone gives already 14% haste.
    Then http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=37927 and http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=35320.
Later on in SWP we can get http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=34559 and http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=34487.

After all, when u focus only on haste, its possible to get around 25% haste which would make holy light a 1,5 sec cast (0,9 sec with BL).
Ofc u lose tons of SP with so much haste but maybe its worth to find like a healthy balance between sp and haste.

By all means, go ahead with that plan. You asked what people thought of it, now you want to argue with any disagreement with it, even though you're going to have to sacrifice tons of resilience, sp and crit just so you can chain cast your most expensive healing spell in PvP. It's not going to go over very well for you buddy, but I hope you enjoy. Peace.

It seems like high rated hpalys back on retail used some haste gear: http://web.archive.org/web/200807311...lleria/Athrun/
    This one in particular used http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=37929, http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=35324, x5 http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=35761, x2 http://tbc.cavernoftime.com/item=32528.

    @Mercy
I'm trying to figure out what the best gear combination for pvp would look like.
I assume u don't know the answer either so whats bad about having a constructive discussion about that?

Yes, they did, and it wasn't for Holy Light spamming.

Depends on your arena comp and how you're playing. If you're talking about BGs, doesn't matter much.

I do, which is why I told you it's not going to be making a difference, as you shouldn't be chaining Holy Light casts back-to-back anyway. Even if you're in a BG setting where you can hang out in Africa and not worry about getting interrupted, still this is TBC not WotLK and you will go OOM if you cast it constantly. If that's really what you want to do though, then by all means, go for it. As I said before. There's not much else that I can say that is constructive about it until you tell me what you're trying to accomplish in which environment you're trying to do it in.

Normal Holydin play, you will want some of pretty much every primary healer stat. Bonus Healing, crit, haste, mp5 and intellect. You will cast Holy Light only maybe 5% of the time, and only in situations where you aren't in danger of getting interuppted. Most of your throughput should be coming from Flash, and gearing for too much haste comes at a cost of the other stats, which are necessary for your sustain in longer fights.

BG Holydin can be balanced more towards Holy Light, but again, remember it's not WotLK and you will be OOMing significantly faster in TBC if you do that.

Shockadin focuses more on crit at the cost of haste, and more on spell damage at the cost of bonus healing. mp5 and intellect are still important, but more secondary than they are in other cases, because playing Shockadin is balanced around finishing your fights quickly.

Like I said, for 5s arena.

I assume that 5s is more burst intense than 2s or 3s. Fights are rather short, so probably less mana intense than in the other brackets.
I don't know if Flash heal provides enough heal to back ppl up in 5s. Maybe holy light spamming is the only option against burst heavy opponents.

Guess I'll just go for crit and mp5 for now and maybe get haste items later.

  8. If you are going for Arena then avoid haste. You want MP5 more due to the length of the battles.
If you are going for BGs you want a ton of haste. If you can reach 1,2-1,3 sec FoLs with passive haste then you will have an advantage in BGs.

  9. If you are going for Arena then avoid haste. You want MP5 more due to the length of the battles.
Some haste can be useful, but generally yes.

  10. oh my god you're actually an awful 13 hundred player, OP yes stack haste as hpal in tbc this ***** has no idea what hes talking about and will never get past 1400 rating

    get 4 piece t6 and rest s4
