Hunter in mdps group

Yesterday i was raiding and someone said that hunters should be on the mdps group cause it will increase their damage. Can someone explain me why is that? Thx

There used to be a bug where hunter pets would give an AP bonus to party members, but that is long since gone. You could get some extra dps from being in a group with a dranei if you're below hit cap or some small dps gain via mana tide from a shaman. There are, however, some legends that tilting your chair 3 degrees to your left causes a dps increase, but idk I've felt it's better to tilt it 5 to my right.

If u play as "Trap spec" which means u run with 3/3 Trap Mastery talent and Glyph of Explosive Trap, u should be near boss on most of fights in ICC. U can still attack from 5 yard and trap without moving = losing dps. Not sure if this was the case, but 1 option.
