Can MOP and WOTLK be played on the same computer?

Yes but you must download both expansions (you could download it on warmane site) and extract it in 2 different folders.

F.e: Downloading Wotlk by torrent, extract the zip-folders in a main wotlk folder, finished. Then you do the same for mop in another folder. You have 2 wow.exe after and must select the correct one to play the specific expansion.

Btw both addons have a size of 40 GB

Yes, as long as your computer can handle them. You can have WoTLK, MoP and BC downloaded at the same time. Now whether you can play them at the same time is a question you should regard to your machine's specs.
