Why are Cataclysm players being herded to the next dying realm? We all know what happens when the population eventually sinks low enough(closed status without viable recourse). The vote to merge Cataclysm and MoP was rejected outright by the Cataclysm players when proposed before, people clearly had no will to play a mediocre expansion. By the end of Neltharion, the remaining players were largely made up of long time players and donators, the kind of people one would think any kind of operation would want to keep interested and around for doing business.

It was the original intent of Warmane staff to allow players to downgrade characters to Icecrown, before reversing the decision due to its complication on their system(understandable). Quote from decommission post below:

"For the remaining players on the realm, we offer the possibility to continue playing on our Mists of Pandaria realm, Frostwolf or downgrading their characters and allowing them to play on Icecrown. All characters will be duplicated and will be available on Frostwolf or Icecrown to play."

As a remedy to the downgrade situation, give interested parties a one time store credit for a max level purchase on any realm. It is much less work for the staff then the downgrade and is not as big of a giveaway as the MoP players being given(max level, some gold, starting gear, keeping companions for use in battle pets, etc.)

I am aware this will most likely be dismissed then closed and lead to the revocation of my forum posting privileges, point taken. This is merely a last ditch effort for the right thing to be done by long time Neltharion players before giving up.
