WotLK Update/Patch Required???

I played until 2am PST Monday Morning, 9/24/18. When I attempted to log in a play again at 3pm PST Monday, 9/24/18, it doesn't take me to the Character page, it takes me to a page that says UPDATE 0%, and a few minutes later turns in to "Patch Required. Press the restart button below to exit World of Warcraft and Download the Patch." I have no idea what happened or what patch it is talking about. When I got my friend to log in and see if his says the same thing, it does not. It takes him to his character screen. Why is it happening on mine only? I'm so confused, how do I fix this? I really want to continue playing.
