1. Inexplicable deaths at Rotface in 10nm

Hi, just like the title of the subject suggests, raid members die out of nowhere during the Rotface encounter.
This happens particularly after the explosion of the first big Ooze, nobody is taking damage, nobody has an ooze chasing them, but out of nowhere their HP goes down to 0% and so one at a time the raid begins to die.
Nothing shows in the combat log, not even Fatality addon could provide info of what happened.
Last week we wiped over 8 times to this boss before we finally gave it up, and each time it happened exactly the same: first dies one of the healers (always the same one), then the other, then dps and so on.
Has anyone experienced this issue? if so, how do you overcome it in order to down Rotface?
    Thanks

  2. It's the phantom Big Ooze. After a Big Ooze explodes, occasionally it lingers on as an invisible and undetectable entity. Its damage won't show on the combat logs, but it will make its way around the room killing whoever it has aggro on (so typically healers first).

The way to avoid this is to minimize Big Ooze explosions (i.e. do it the achievement way where you don't merge a small ooze into a big ooze, but rather a big ooze into another big ooze). If an explosion goes off, remind your healers to keep moving in a circle around the perimeter of the room. The Big Ooze is slow so it should be easy to kite. Having your Hpally throw RF up and move every so often should do it.

  3. When big ooze explodes the ground under every player is targeted. If they move away and come back too soon they will die because it takes few seconds. Instead everyone should move to ground where no one was standing the moment when big ooze exploded. For example, tank should turn boss by 90 degrees and all melees move to be behind boss again at max melee range. Max melee range is important because its some 10 yards radius under every player.

    Maybe that's it?

    ^ This, kinda.
The way this bug is triggered is by merging two or more Big Oozes together and then letting it explode. Merging only Little Oozes with the Big Ooze will fix the bug, but eventually will cause an explosion (that's OK). If you happen to merge a Big Ooze with another Big Ooze intentionally or otherwise, continuing to only merge Big Oozes together (big with big, little with little) will not trigger an explosion, and thus not trigger the bug.

TL;DR: Invisible Ooze happens when multiple Big Oozes are merged together and then explode.
