260 BS no thorium based plans

Hello, just hit 260 BS and i am left with only 3 plans in the OG trainer. Should i search for more advanced trainer or grind plans from drops.
I also did't get the Thorium Brotherhood quest in Tanaris (the one for the Imperial plate armor set).

Idk what you mean you didnt get the thorium brotherhood quest. It definintely works on this server thats how I leveled bs.

For what i understood from my google-diving i need 265 BS to get the quests. Can you tell me if you got the regular Thorium set and how? I saw the plans in AH but they are 99g a peace and up.

Some of the thorium crafts are BoE patterns and costs a lot cause they are needed for leveling BS. Optionally you can get the imperial craft set from tanaris, but they are quite expensive too.
