Technical Transfer from Cata - Imp Names

Does anyone know if your imp name remains the same after you transfer from Neltharion to Icecrown?

(A friend who transferred to Frostwolf (MoP server) explained the names were removed entirely there.)

If the name you have in neltharion is being used in icecrown you will have to change your name.

No—I'm asking about the name of your imp, if you're a warlock. :)

I have a warlock on Cata with an imp that has really cool name, and I don't want to lose the imp's name if I transfer.
If I am going to lose that name, I might not bother with the transfer at all, tbh.

You might as well just do it and find out, because your charecter won't be deleted from Cata if you do transfer.
