New to Wotlk hunter a few questions

Hello yall.

Im trying to figure a few things out, My main on retail has always been a hunter from Cata - legion. But now im playing Wotlk and im just about to be 80.

Here is what im wondering.

1. Im going to be PvE focused. What spec is the optimal spec (I dont say best as its up to the person playing it i guess) for pve. MM/BM/Survival?
2. None of the links are working for the specs in guides tthat i have read, anyone have one they would be able to link?
3. What pets are best to keep on hand for raids? I use to play only pvp so i just always kept my spider on hand for cc

but answers for your questions are:

1. for PvE, MM is undoubtedly the highest DPS potential of all 3 specs

1) Furious Howl - 320 AP for 20 seconds on a 40 seconds cooldown to the hunter and the pet.

Thank you for the responce, i will go over the guide ty. But i know the best pet for Hunter is wolf. But thats not always what is best for the raid. as if your missing buffs a hunter can provide with his pet.

99% of hunters (including me) I've seen use wolf for raids, no matter the circumstances, it would be a significant dps loss otherwise.
