WotLK Elemental Shaman for pvp?

Hi, I'm just starting back on Warmane but I used to play MoP. I decided to roll a shaman as I've never really played one before, and I strictly play for pvp. That said, I like burst. Can I achieve good burst AND still be able to survive in pvp as elemental? Thanks in advance for answers!

Ele is cappable to deal massive burst in Wotlk.
Ele paired with destro lock is the most bursty 2s and 3s comp.

welp I'm level 65 and officially switched to elemental spec... probably switched a little early as I have to drink a lot after fights but I want to start learning the spec. The one thing I've noticed is that for a caster class, everything feels really really fast

[Unrelenting Storm] + [Convection] + [Elemental Focus] + [Thunderstorm] + [Glyph of Water Mastery] and there you have infinite mana, a lot easier to level up

As for pvp, shaman grounding totem, earthbind totem, thunderstorm & instant ghost wolf can save you from many situation, makeing them really hard to kill at open space for meele. Shamans giving nice fun at world pvp.
