Cataclysm Lost characters

I got a question, Can you retrieve 2 chars that i lost, i don't know why, maybe for the elapsed time. The chars were on neltharion server. One was a dk and the other a shaman, both on level 85.

If you haven't logged on in a while they may have been caught in a in-activity clean up, in that case you can't.

do you know how much time exactly is that "in a while"?

Usually clean ups happen once a year and remove charecters that haven't logged in for a year.
