My wow does not save changes to the configuration

I run it normal and as an administrator and in no way save the changes I make.
I downloaded it yesterday afternoon from the warmane page.
Can anybody help me?

Move it from the download folder to any other folder, then right click and untick 'read only'

make sure the wow folder is writable. It might be said to read-only.
Can check it by right clicking the folder and going to properties.
