WotLK The application “World of Warcraft” can’t be opened.

Help. im using a Mac and i just download the game, when i click the wow.exe icon its says "The application “World of Warcraft” can’t be opened." I dont know what to do, the game seems to work on mac because they have the OS in the list of downloads.
