WotLK Using Name from Deleted Character (name recycling)

So I had a character of a certain level in Lorda. I wanted to start over from the beginning and thought if I deleted I could recycle its name. Is this still possible? I tried it with test characters and doesn't work.

It goes like this:

1-Create character with unique name (one that isn't taken already)
2-Delete created character with unique name
3-Try to re-create character with same name
4-Name unavailable message pops up


Is it intended to work like that?

Same thing is happening with me. Deleted old character; tried to make a new character with that name within seconds (No way of the name being taken by someone else) and got "Name Unavailable".

Hopefully this will be fixed on a server reset.

Yep. That's what I was referring to. Exactly that.

Is this a system bug or is it intended? Should I report it in the Bugs section?
