PROPOSAL SUMMARY

Under the current website trade system, add an additional option for players to directly trade characters with each other based upon certain conditions and costs as explained below.

CONCEPT DESCRIPTION

One of the problems with the current system which only allows the purchase of a character is that high-end characters are rarely ever considered due to the default cost allocated to them. As such, players are often required to remove gear/items in order to make the cost more affordable. By so doing, the benefit of playing a high-end character is essentially removed. This cost (Warmane Coins) associated with high-end characters also impacts the continued replayability of the game for those individuals who slowly begin to lose interest in their class.

In order to resolve this problem, a new option should be added to the site that allows players to list a character for trade only. A window can be added for comments and/or a drop-down window where a selection of classes can be chosen on what he/she would like to trade for. Once listed for trade, the character is removed from the playable window similar to current trading options. After another player has offered up a character to trade for one that is listed, the original listing account will then need to click on a new option where they can “accept” the trade. All items, gear, and bank contents are then traded. Once accepted, the trade is completed and non-reversible.

In order to support the Warmane website, each trade should also have a 20-30 Warmane Coin cost from both players. This will continue to bring revenue to the Warmane website while allowing for a much more affordable method of trading characters.

VISION

Essentially, the goal of this proposal is to make a much more robust trading option within the Warmane community, continue to drive interest in the available servers, and maintain a long-term player base which has the ability to continually obtain new WoW experiences by trading with others.

END EXPECTATIONS

As a current player with several high-end characters, I believe that this option will greatly increase the interests of the player base by providing an option for them experience new and exciting perspectives of the game by trading characters with others. Such an option will eliminate the possibility of players growing tired of their current characters and leaving while consistently adding a new stream of revenue to the Warmane website.

Issue I see with this is that it opens up selling chars outside of trade, say somoen says theyll trade there fresh max lvl for a full bis and pay them outside of the website. Or even a compromised account trading chars over to the person that got in to it.

Besides, wit hthe way things are now, you can farm coins for gold/ or fresh max level charecters and then buy a high end char if you so wish.

Edit: Thinking about it, the only way i imagine this would work if said charecters have to be worht within the same region of coins to eliminate the first problem

Actually, the key with this concept is there is no way to trade a character from one account to another except by going through the Warmane site. Remember, this isn't an account option, just character-to-character. I personally have seen this work elsewhere and it was a great option as it really detracted from people trying to do something outside of the site itself. This is secure, easy, and quick.
