1. Switching from Aldor to Scryer

So I farmed the Dampscale Basilsk Eyes and did the repeatable turn in quest to get my Aldor rep down to Hated and my Scryer rep up to Neutral. Flew over to the Scryer place, but Voren'thal doesn't offer the repeatable quest for Arcame Tomes.

Checked the Hagard War Veteran for the quest (to initally choose a faction) but nothing. So, did I miss something? Is there another quest I have to do? Do I need to get my Scryer rep up to at least Friendly before I can turn in the rep items?

Everything I searched online says I just need to be Neutral with Scryer at this point, but I must be missing something. Any thoughts?

Update: I noticed on my rep panel that even though the Scryer rep now says Neutral, it's marked as "At War". The option to uncheck that is grayed out. Does that have anything to do with it?

  2. You can do the escort quest from khadgar to reset it again.

  3. You can do the escort quest from khadgar to reset it again.
Hmm, I went to Khadgar, but he only has a repeating chat sequence (the standard one before I did the inital quest to follow his servant around Shat). No option to start the escort quest.

I guess I'll open a ticket and see what the GM's say. Thanks for the reply!

  4. Put a ticket in and will see what they say. I did do 1 more repeatable quest and that pushed me from 0 Neutral with Scryer to 750 Neutral with Scryer. The quest is no longer available.

  5. Can you still do the repeatable? Do it until you hit Friendly with the Scryers

  6. UPDATE: So the ticket got me no where. In-game GM gave a few options - none of which worked. I ended up searching the bug list to find that this has been a problem for over 2 years.

The only thing that works was suggested by a player on the bug report: Do the Aldor repeatable quest to put Scryer back down to Hostile, then do the Scryer repeatable again to put it back into Neutral. It worked. The "At War" checkbox is off and I was able to get my HoS acheivement.

So basically, it was a "turn it off and back on again" way to fixing the problem. Go figure.
