Technical Cannot log-in with transferred character using Cata to Wotlk downgrade

The game crashes and I get an error whenever I try to login with the transferred character, all the other characters let me enter without any problem. Also note that I cannot use the unstuck feature from the website because I don't have an hearthstone location set. Tried deleting WTF/Cache folder but obviously that didn't solve the issue.

This is the error: ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception

Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:004057FB

The instruction at "0x004057FB" referenced memory at "0x00000004".
The memory could not be "read".

If anyone else had this problem and managed to solve it, I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how. I wrote a ticket in-game in the meanwhile(someone suggested doing that in a unrelated thread), because apparently I can only select "ban appeal" as category on this website

In case this is important(and I'm pretty sure it is): my character was a worgen, and since you can't transfer worgens, I used the race change feature with the points to turn him into a human. Then I used the transfer. Problem is, I didn't even log-in with it before using the transfer.
