1. And if you have less than 1k gold is even less meaningfull since you do that amount so fast just by questing and selling trash in outland/northerend.
I don't get why you people make such a fuss about it, there is only so much you can do with gold in this game.

  2. You all old players seem to forget that if everyone has 1000000 gold then even to take a **** will cost 2000 gold, now how is a new player supposed to play in such an enviroment?
Invest your gold in what you like or in materials and get your money back after the squish.
Still waiting for someone to enlighten me on why this is such a dramatic subject and why people could not possibly do anything IN 1 MONTH to avoid anything unpleasant?
Not to mention those of you who ask for coins...holy...like the coin market is not crazy enough.

  3. It's precisely new and part-time players this hurts the most.

On Outland, I have about 30 gold total on Horde side; 55 gold total on Ally. My highest character: 34.

Not all of us are powergamers. Some have fun playing once in a while. A gold squish for me is like taking away the cardboard box I live in. Cuz you know, I already had so frickin much.

Also, not all of us live in socialist countries and are accustomed to governing overlords taking half of what we earn away. For some of us, there is a certain sanctity in working for a thing and owning it truly, knowing that no one can take it away. For people like us, this undermines our ambition and sense of personal power.

Most game runners know a super-inflated economy is like a runaway train. They also know the best answer for that is to create gold sinks—so that people can choose to spend their gold on non-resaleable items that will remove gold from the overall economy. This encourages both a healthy economy and happy players. Simply taking away what people have does not achieve this two-fold goal. Warmane administrators need to get more creative and develop gold sinks so that players don't feel like hunted animals.

Friend...in outland if you quest and sell the trash items you make 1 k gold from 60 to 68...i don't get your point. if you have proffesions even if you play 1 hour/a day you can do gold. Talking about losing even 500 gold is so silly considering how easy/fast that amount is made. In northerend you make 2.5k gold from lvl 68 to 80 btw.

  5. I get that a low lvl gold is harder to come by, by after a certain point it rains gold. You can sell wool cloth for 5 g/20 pieces and make more than you say you own in 20 minutes. If you only quest then yes, gold is harder to get before lvl 58 but who says you can't sell basic materials and get how much gold you need?

  6. So get a proffesion or 2-which btw does not make you a hardcore player or a no lifer- or just farm some cloth and sell what you have. You'll have plenty regardless of the server you play.

  7. what the **** guys i worked hard as **** to get 20k and its all going to be gone now? why? what about people that just bought their coins dont you think that is abit unfair? my suggestion would be not to do it as the prices are very well and healthy.

no need for the gold squish if anything it is goint to make economy worse and may even lose players.

  8. What the hell? I think they don't even care about us if we was farming gold like crazy, we was wasting our time to farm that gold, when I cant sleep at night I farm mats to sell it and earn gold, I like to farm gold because I need it... I donated for this server, but the server OWNER should come here and read our comments and think about it, or he just don't care about us. I was farming like a m0ron 53k gold, I was bored to farm but I must do it to sell on warmane trade website, and not just me, many players are farming to have something... I don't know who is the OWNER of this server, just come here and read the comments from these players and just think about it...

What if we asked to refund 50% of our donations to us? Like "Give us our 50% donations back"... You would be mad or it would be okay? Nope, you would be mad.

If you want to take 50% of our gold that we was working hard for that, then give us back 50% of our donations back... I think you wont agree with that, but I hope you will understand.

Thank you, God bless you all.

  9. Why dont you give us some coins if you are going to take 50% gold
Good point. Much respect sir! The gouverment takes 50% or real money, warmane again 50%. This is soooo rudeeee. We will se again on Ah items for lvl 10-50 with much than 1k gold so it will be impossible to grow another one to 80. And everyone yells at those new low gs in bg, but they are the ones that made us like this.

2y ago before this half thing one bt hilt was around 3-5k gold, now its almost 12-13k with is pointless to pay that much for +50gs more and around 10-15 stamina, intelect etc becasue ultil you will be able to take one you will have 4.5k gs so...now will be 20k one bt hilt? wtf

  10. Well this is so depressing. Finally, when I thought I can try to make more money for gear, it's getting cut in half. That just eats my motivation to play to be honest. :/
I feel you man. I`m the same here. It feels like i`m returning back in time with no gold and lvl 1 after this without giving my time back. So i lost my time for nothing....

I love you man!!! :)))))) I wish that i had your time and pleasure to farm that much but now, even if i will have it, i wont do it becasue next year or other 2 years we will be exactly in this moment again... :(

  12. Lol :D to all the people that made fun of us that asked / predicted this (another gold squish) long time ago ...

    We told you so :D :D ... Muhahaha :)

  13. Gold squish's goal is to reduce the price inflation... Although the recognized pattern of gold squishes from previous years makes people stockpile as much as they can on items at the end of the year so they don't end up on a loss... And the increased demand for items increases the price for items, creating inflation... Another 420 IQ move by the one and only warmane management. Battered hilt... Baby's gone up, hasn't it. https://imgur.com/a/ZfJZ6Yj

  14. Very well then... Even after I JUST SPENT ALL MY COINS ON GOLD GREAT
