"Patch Required"

It started today that whenever I open up the game and get past the initial login screen, in the character select screen (before any characters show up) it says its downloading some update and that its at 0%, then after 5 minutes it says "Patch Required, please press the restart button below to exit World of Warcraft and download the patch." which I then press the restart button, and it instantly takes me back to the login screen and says "Failed to apply patch. Please try again later. If this problem persists you may need to reinstall or contact technical support.". I REALLY hope I do not have to reinstall as my internet is extremely shoddy, and I've already restarted the internet and computer, can anyone help?
