WotLK Draenei Call of water quest bugged?

I am at the part where I am supposed to kill Tel'athion and get his head. While I can spawn him with the water+barrel, he is un-lootable and does not drop anything. I've probably killed him 30 times, and no drop or such. So must be bugged unless there is something I'm missing?

Same thing for me I've been trying to complete this quest for 2 days clearly something is wrong

While unfortunately I don't have a permanent fix, I did open a support ticket in-game and a game master fixed it for me. So that is perhaps something you can do too?

I'm assuming they are aware of this bug and will probably fix it
